Ocean Lava Regulation Lanzarote 2026
ARTICLE 1. GENERALITIES
The ocean lava lanzarote is a triathlon event with two modalities Supersprint y Olympic. It is organized by K3 Sports Services Integrals SL, with the collaboration of the City Council of Tías, the Cabildo de Lanzarote, the Government of the Canary Islands and different private entities.
The proof isonsanctioned by the Canarian Triathlon Federation.
The Olympic distance will have one equipment mode, which will make the distance in relay. Each of the disciplines will be covered by a different athlete. One person will do the 1.5 km of swimming, another the 40 km of cycling and another the 10 km of running. These teams may be made up of participants of different gender, age or physical condition who will compete in the same category. You can find more information in this regard in Annex II of this regulation.
ARTICLE 2. EVENT DEVELOPMENT DATES
The date of the event will be October 24, 2026
ARTICLE 3: SPORTS BEHAVIOR AND RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
The Ocean Lava Lanzarote is celebrated with absolute respect for the environment. Although, for safety reasons, the race will be held on a circuit closed to traffic, participants will respect road rules in towns and public roads. Participants who present paramilitary attitudes, advocate terrorism, show violent or xenophobic attitudes, or throw garbage in nature will be disqualified from the competition.
ARTICLE 4: REGISTRATION, CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES OF OWNERSHIP
4.1. INSCRIPTION

Each participant must correctly fill their personal data, since these will be collated by the organization during the withdrawal of dorsal.
The registration period will be from January 23, 2026 at 12:00 to October 18, 2026 at 11:59 p.m., or until places are sold out. The different price periods are shown below:
SUPER SPRINT

4.2. CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION
People registered for the Ocean Lava Lanzarote in 2026 will have two options to cancel their registration:
4.2.1 CONTRACTING RETURN INSURANCE.
The test will have return insurance with a cost of:
SUPER SPRINT: 10€
OLYMPIC: 20€
This insurance contemplates the return of the registration (except the amount of insurance and the contracted services). In the event that the event is annulled by health alert decree or that the participant is affected by a health alert both in the country of origin and in Spain, the organization will return the full amount of registration (except the amount of the insurance and hired services) until the date of the race.
The return will also be effective up to 30 days before the race (except the amount of insurance and the contracted services) given the following cases duly justified through email info@oceanlavalanzarote.com:
- A serious injury or illness, accident, or death of those who participate, their spouse or couple or their first -degree ascendants / descendants.
- A serious illness that requires hospitalization or death of your spouse or couple or its first -degree ascendants or descendants up to thirty days before the event
4.2.2 WITHOUT CONTRACTING RETURN INSURANCE.
The registered person who does not contract the refund insurance at the time of registration may have a refund of a percentage of the registration amount (not counting the contracted services) based on the following dates:
– Until June 1, 2026: Refund of 50% of the registration.
– Until September 1, 2026: Refund of 40% of the registration.
After September 1, 2026, the race organization will under no circumstances refund the registration fee to those participants who have not contracted refund insurance.
4.3 CHANGES OF OWNERSHIP.
They will be allowed up to 15 days before the race. Registered people who want to give their dorsal to another person must communicate it in a timely manner through email info@oceanlavalanzarote.com. This management will cost € 10.
ARTICLE 5: PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
5.1. GENERALITIES
In general, all participants of the Ocean Lava Lanzarote must:
– Be of legal age. Except in the supersprint distance, where participation will be allowed to those over 12 years of age, under the responsibility of adult guardians.
– Know and accept the conditions of this Regulation.
– Complete all registration steps correctly.
5.2. DISCLAIMER
All participants registered in the Ocean Lava Lanzarote voluntarily declare, upon registration, that:
- It is in perfect physical condition to perform the test.
- Participate in the competition voluntarily and under its responsibility.
- It exempts from any responsibility the organizing team, clubs, competition committee, responsible for the test arbitration, volunteering, and other personnel who participate in one way or another in the organization of the test, of the physical or material damage that could occur before, during or after the competition.
- They accept, at the time of registering, the text of the responsibility discharge document.
- All participants, when they take part in the event, accept in a responsible way, who are in adequate health situations, being forced to communicate any change to the organization.
- In the case of minors, this discharge of responsibility will be granted by the adult who represents it, accepting, for this, the form designed for this purpose, which is found on the registration platform.
5.3. MEDICAL CERTIFICATE
It is not necessary to present a medical certificate to carry out the Ocean Lava Lanzarote.
All participating persons declare that they are in perfect physical condition and take responsibility for this, and exempt the organization from any responsibility, at the time of registration and taking part in the event.
5.4. ACCIDENT INSURANCE
All the participants of the Ocean Lanzarote Lavaan, must be disposed of accident insurance in accordance with the R.D. 849/1993.
For those participants who, at the time of registration, do not have their own accident insurance, they must subscribe, at the time of registration, an insurance valid for the day of the test.
ARTICLE 6. IMAGE RIGHTS, ADVERTISING AND DATA PROTECTION.
6.1 IMAGE RIGHTS
The organizing entity exclusively reserves the right over the image of the Ocean Lanzarote Lavaan, as well as the audiovisual, photographic and journalistic exploitation of the competition or for research purposes. Any media or advertising project must previously have the express and written consent of the organization. Otherwise, as many legal actions will be undertaken.
6.2 ADVERTISING
The use and location in the indicated space of the advertising material provided by the organization will be mandatory for participants. Modify, fold or hide the advertising material will be penalized. In addition, it will be the responsibility of the participants to maintain said material.
6.3 DATA PROTECTION
In accordance with Organic Law 15/1999, we inform you that your data will be incorporated into a data file under the responsibility of K3 Servicios Deportivos Integrals S. L. to comply with the commitments that derive from the relationship we maintain with you as a participant.
Upon registering in the Ocean Lavarote Lanzarote, the participants give their consent for the organization of the test to treat automatically and with sports, promotional or commercial their personal data.
As established by Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the Protection of Person . For such purposes, it must be requested in writing in the following address: info@oceanlavalanzarote.com.
Likewise, the people inscribed expressly yield to the organization the right to reproduce the name and surname, their classification obtained, the category and its image.
Unless you inform us otherwise, we will understand that your data has not been modified and that you undertake to notify us of any change and that we have your consent for your treatment.
SECTION 7. REMOVAL OF DORSALS AND CLOTHERS.
7.1. USE OF CHIP AND BIB
The use of chip and dorsal delivered by the organization to those who participate is mandatory throughout the test, except in the swimming segment, in which identification will be by other means. The number must be placed on the person who participates visibly at all times. It cannot be folded or trimmed. The manipulation or assignment of the dorsal may be a cause for penalty or disqualification.
7.2. DEPARTURE WARDROBE
Participants who wish will be able to save a bag that they can deliver with their personal elements up to 30 minutes before the exit in the place indicated by the organization for this purpose. The delivery and collection schedule of these bags will be established in the race program.
ARTICLE 8. PROVISIONS
The provisioning points are points established by the organization to supply liquid, solid or both.
ARTICLE 9. ABANDONMENTS
The abandonments for other reasons that are not accidents or injuries that prevent the athlete from moving by their own means, must be carried out at the provisioning points. If, due to the accident or injury of the person who participates, it is immobilized and cannot reach an provision, it will activate the rescue operation by contacting the organization by telephone with the organization through the emergency mobile phone set for this purpose.
Those who participate can withdraw from the test whenever they wish, but they must do so in accordance with the following points:
1. You will leave at an aid station and hand over your number.
2. The participant assumes all responsibility from the moment they voluntarily leave the test and may leave the area on their own.
3. If the participating person so wishes, the organization will facilitate the evacuation to the finish area of the person who has decided to abandon after the closure of the checkpoint of the supply station where they are located.
ARTICLE 10. REGULATIONS, SAFETY RULES AND GENERAL BEHAVIOR
- Every participating person has a duty to help another participant who is in danger or rugged, being forced to communicate it to the closest control or the emergency telephone immediately. The deprivation of help may be penalized with immediate disqualification.
- It is the obligation of each participant to carry with it any residue that generates: containers, papers, organic waste, etc., to the places marked and enabled by the organization.
- The food that carries the participant must be marked with the number of dorsal.
- Every participating person must carry out the route marked by the organization. Do not respect it or not to go through any of the established controls will be a cause of penalty that will be determined by the career commissioners and that may range from the warning to total disqualification, as the case may be.
- Participants must continue, at all times and throughout the tour, the instructions of the members of the organization.
- The people who compete must behave sports at all times and be respectful of the other athletes, commissioner personnel and other people members of the organization. In addition, they must be careful with the facilities enabled for the test.
- The competition is governed, in the aspects not included in this document, by the Regulation of the Spanish Triathlon Federation.

12.2. TRANSITION ZONE
– To access the transition area, you must present a one-day license (contracted at the time of registration) or valid triathlon ID. At the entrance to this area, those responsible for the refereeing of the event will carry out the control, especially of the bicycle and the protective material.
– Equipment must be placed in the designated bike corral and assigned bike rack.
– Only the equipment used for the competition can be left in the transition area, all used equipment must be deposited in the box provided by the organization, other belongings must be removed before the start of the race. The organization will make a cloakroom available so that participants can store their belongings.
– Bicycle equipment such as shoes, glasses, helmet, bottles, supplements, etc. They can be placed on the bicycle.
– It is prohibited to carry any glass container within the transition zone
12.3. Tours Olympic modalities and supersprint

Depart from the transition park along Avenida de las Playas in the direction of Norway Street, go up Norway Street until joining the LZ – 40. Once you join the LZ – 40 towards the airport to the turning point. Once we have made the turn we head towards the Toro roundabout and turn at the second turning point. When we reach the exit to the Rancho Texas roundabout (Norway Street) we will have a complete turn. We do another complete circuit on LZ – 40 and we will have the second lap. We begin the last lap of the LZ – 40 circuit and when we reach the exit to the Rancho Texas roundabout (Norway Street), we will take the exit to return along Norway Street and Las Playas Avenue to the transition park.

12.3.3. WALKING RACE TOUR
DESCRIPTION COURSE DISTANCE SUPERSPRINT WALKING RACE
Departure from the transition park, heading north, we will travel 1.25 km meters in that direction, we will take the turning point and return to the transition park, completing the circuit on foot with a total of 2.50 km.
DESCRIPTION COURSE OLYMPIC DISTANCE FOOT RACE
Departure from the transition park along Avenida de las Playas in the direction of Norway Street along the bike lane (on the lane on our left). Once we have passed the intersection of Norway Street, we run along the asphalt (in the lane on our left) until we reach the turning point located on Avenida de las Playas in front of the Costa Mar Shopping Center. We return in the same way along the opposite lane to the outbound lane until reaching the turning point located before the finish line. We make the turn and begin the second lap. Once the second lap is completed, we do not make the turn and enter the finish line.

There will be 1 supply post along the running route on foot, being able to take over both in the first leg and the return of the circuit. In total there will be 4 supplies to complete the 10 kilometers.

12.4. KIDS MODALITY
GENERALITIES
The regulations that govern the regulations of the Spanish Triathlon Federation for the 2026 season will apply.

12.5. BRIEFING
A technical meeting will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026 with the characteristics of the different modalities. The place and time of said technical meeting will be announced by the organization's usual media.
ARTICLE 13. CLAIMS.
All claims will be accepted by payment of a bail of € 30. This bond will only be reimbursed if the organization considers that the complaint is justified. The claims will be made in writing and must meet a minimum type of format, where the following should be stated:
- Name and surname of the person who performs it.
- DAYS.
- Name and surname of the affected athlete.
- Dorsal number.
- Facts that are alleged.
Claims referring to provisional classifications may be submitted up to 30 minutes after the closing of the goal of the modality in question.
ARTICLE 14. SUSPENSION OR CANCELLATION OF THE TEST
The organization reserves the right of suspension or cancellation of the evidence for causes of force majeure, under prescription of the competent authorities and/or adverse weather phenomena. In this case, the amount of registrations will not be reimbursed nor will the expenses of the participants be covered.
Likewise, the persons responsible for the career direction may suspend, shorten, modify, neutralize or stop the race for security or causes of force majeure outside their will and not attributable to the organization (climatology, adverse sea situations, alerts decreed by the authorities, etc.).
ARTICLE 15. ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS OF THE REGULATION
The formalization of the registration in the Ocean Lavarote Lanzarote implies the acceptance of the provisions contained in these regulations. This regulation can be corrected, modified or improved at any time by the organization, as well as any data, norm or section for an optimal realization of the test. The fact of registration shows the compliance of the participant with these regulations.
ARTICLE 16. WAIVER OF LIABILITY
The organization of the Ocean Lava Lanzarote declines all responsibility for damage, breakage, loss or theft of any type of material used for the race.
– No refunds will be made of the amount paid in the event of cancellation, alteration, modification or deletion of the published schedules due to force majeure or other exceptional circumstances.
– Ocean Lava Lanzarote reserves the right to modify or make changes without prior notice.
– Ocean Lava Lanzarote reserves the right of admission.
ANNEX I. DISCLAIMER
1. I know and accept the regulation, published on the website www.oceanlavalanzarote.com.
2. Voluntary and only under my own responsibility in this sports test. Therefore, any responsibility for the organization, collaborating persons, sponsoring entities or other participating people and I agree not to denounce them in case of any physical or material damage. Also, for security reasons and only in the event that the career organization estimates it appropriate, I promise to install in my mobile device, a geolocation application during the course of the race to know the exact place of my location.
3. I am a natural person, mentally and sufficiently prepared for the realization of this sports competition, without suffering from illness, physical defect or injury that prevents my participation in this test or that can be aggravated as a consequence of the celebration of it.
4. I promise to maintain responsible behavior that does not increase the risks for my physical or psychic integrity, so if during the test I suffered some kind of injury or any other circumstance that could harm my health, I will immediately contact the Organization.
5. I am aware of the additional risk involved in the fact that this sports competition is developed outdoors. Therefore, I attend their own will and initiative, fully assuming the risks and consequences derived from my participation.
6. I accept with my participation, that in any case, medical assistance could take to reach the point where it is, since the route is closed to traffic and includes difficult access areas for rescue vehicles. These conditions hinder the operation of medical assistance equipment.
7. I promise to follow the general guidelines for the environment collected in the official regulations of this test.
8. I have all the sports material required by the organization, while guaranteeing that it is in good condition. I know how to use it properly and I will carry it during the entire route, regardless of the competition modality in which it participates.
9. Likewise, I admit that I am the only person responsible for my possessions and sports equipment during the development of the test, as well as its parallel activities.
10. I will follow all the instructions and comply with all the decisions of the people responsible for the organization (responsible for arbitration, health personnel, etc.) regarding security and organizational aspects of the test.
11. I authorize the health services of the career to be performed by the diagnostic tests you might need. Similarly, I promise to abandon the competition at the same time in which these health services estimate it necessary for the good of my physical integrity.
12. I accept that the sports measures set forth above are understood without prejudice to other responsibilities that could be assumed before the competent authorities as a result of a behavior or behavior of non -observance or breach of the orders and instructions that are applicable, well In the sports field, well in other different areas.
13. ANNEX II. RELAY TEST - SPECIFICATIONS
In the Ocean Lanzarote Relay Test, all those people who wish may participate, provided they are registered as a team of 2 or 3 components. The team test will only be held in the Olympic distance, and each of the people who compose them, or two in the case of the teams formed by two people, of the modalities must be due. Each of the members will end the competition in the established distance. Time will not stop from the departure of the first member person until the arrival of the last.

Teams made up of three people must each carry out one of the modalities. In other words, one person will swim 1.5 km, another will do the bicycle circuit (40 km) and the other will run 10 km on foot.
In the event that the team was formed by two people, one of them will make two modalities and the second, the remaining modality. This team must inform the organization by email to info@oceanlavalanzarote.com with a maximum notice of 15 days before the relay distribution test.
– There will be a specific relay area enabled for this competition that will have an approximate length of 15 meters. Any relay carried out outside this space will be considered a serious foul and will lead to the disqualification of the team.
– The relay will be completed when the finishing athlete contacts his hand, or places the chip on the next reliever within the relay zone.
– If the contact (or chip change) occurs outside the relay zone, the team will be disqualified.
– If the relay is not carried out, the team will be disqualified.
– Before the relay takes place, the athletes wait in the relay area under the orders of the Officials.
– Only the last member of the team is allowed to cross the finish line.
For everything not included in this annex, it will be governed by the official regulations of the Spanish Triathlon Federation 2026.
